Matt, not stepping on any toes.. Is the bigger than ever two stroke gathering next summer something you already have in the works, or did you want to grab the reigns on this one and use it as the platform for that? I only started it bc there seems to be interest in that central location for all, and others had mentioned a new thread to be started. What are your thoughts?

I may sell my 97 GTI in the spring if you decide to go that route...I would be bringing a wife of sorts, if that's what we agree on, however that puts me in a predicament as to A) getting ANOTHER ski and a double trailer by then or B) fix my spx and get a double trailer by then or C) just bringing the HX and let her chill with any of the females who don't/won't ride, or D) pick up a GTI or the like by then and just take that... Decisions, decisions...

I've never been to Norman personally, but I know Norman gets crazy busy. I've been to Gaston quite a bit and they have restaurants on the water, tons of houses with lifts to rent, and hotels right near the water. The lakes near me I wouldn't go to with a large group. No houses on the water, no restaurants on the water etc.Ok, I'll watch this thread but I really would like to try and make the drive more manageable for everyone. For starters, I have no idea my schedule that far out, there are many factors in our family life that need to fall into place for this to work out. But here is my suggestion. Lake Norman, NC. If anyone has experience there please chime in. I have used several members locations (listed in their profiles) and it is right around the 8 hour drive mark for a good chunk of us, even Loudoo falls into that 8 hour ride. Now, depending on where on the lake to meet would have more or less of a drive. It would benefit the NC guys, like 1983 , suke , MPower , PGHMAN , LKGrider and a few more. Even 96spxpos is with in an hour of the 8 hour drive. I'm not trying to sway the location but just trying to centralize better. If any of the NC guys know of a better lake step up and let us know but keep in mind I'm thing of the best central location if possible.

Almost all the NC guys have ridden Gaston on the NC/VA border. Mpower has a place there. Both him and myself would be willing to help organize. I've been up there a ton with him as well, so I'm familiar with the lake too.I love everybody's interest and participation. I was just a little shocked to see one of my "Members Unite" threads started by someone else when I hit new posts. Could you imagine me going on GH and starting a thread.."Mudbug 2016" (that's their annual ride) when I have not attended any of their events or talked with any of the players involved? I'm just saying... It seems like the enthusiasm of a few members already have the time and location partially nailed down. We need to hear what would best work for everybody. Maybe start a poll thread or something like that.
A local member near a beautiful destination with enough lodging for us is Key. Krispy did a super job last time. The local knowledge and eyes and ears on the ground were essential. A couple of us might still be making wrong turns out on West Point Lake if it were not for him, lol. Ankeneyou has stepped up already and I'd like to hear more about the lake Lou mentioned. It would be great to hear from others on what location they feel would be ideal. Earlier there was talk of Va or NC, etc. let's not rule that out. Let the possible hosts make their cases.
