Hello all,
I had my 2004 speedster 200 out last weekend on the lake. It started and worked perfect as usual. We cuised, tubed and skied with it no problems. At the end of the day I took it for a full speed run across the lake it only hit about 37mph on the speedo, but I don't trust that any way. I didn't have the gps hooked up to verify the speed. My question is, it only ran about 7000 rpm (7100 onto the starboard engine). I thought that I had read they should open up to about 8000 rpm some where on this site.
On a side note I replaced the wear rings and put new solace concord impellers on this year, it has only had about 3 hours on it since then.
I also changed the oil. When it was sitting level on the trailer the oil was exactly halfway between the marks on the dip stick. When I check it in the water now it seems to be almost to the top mark.
The boat works great and I almost never run wot so it's really not a problem for me just wondering if I have an issue here some where.
Thanks in advance for any input, I love this site!
