I was wondering, does a 93 Doo have a generator or alternator? if neither, how does the battery stay charged?
If there is no charging system, then, that may be the reason I must tricke charge?
Moving on, every night I get envious of boat riders when I see them cruising across the river. I then wonder, if I put some Marine lights on the Doo, then, I could do the same; cruise down to the Blue Water Casino from my trailer iat the Wind Mill.
If I install some Marine lights, they will need power to operate them, thus, my reason for this thread. Will I need another type of battery if my Doo battery does not have an alternator, generator or other type of charging system?
One last question! OIL. My Doo has the 587 engine which has been running since I purchased it fifteen years ago on Chevron TCW-3 oil, a couple bucks a quart in stark contrast to Sea Doo's blend.
I've never had a problem in 15 years. Maybe the 587 engine was not a racing engine, thus, the reason I've never encounterd engine over-heat problems as do the 78 and problem infested 951 engines. Everything I've read about the 951's is that they are unreliable.
Some thoughts for a Saturday morning before I head out to the swap meet to find a fuel gauge tester to complete my carb projects.
Hoppefully, this thread will fill up with replies by the time I return. You'al hear me, TimmyBoy?
