M2 wear ring repair

I'm looking to repair my wear ring but wanted to get some more information if anyone could provide it. I was originally going to go the jb weld route, but I saw several people stating that it doesn't hold up for long and will have to be redone within a year or so. I had also seen a post where someone had talked about using epoxy, then a fiberglass sheet, and then more epoxy overtop of it. If I was to go with that repair, would this be just standard epoxy or a special marine epoxy? I would have thought marine epoxy, but the way it was talked about seems like it's just standard epoxy. If anyone can give any info, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I've bought a fiberglass sheet and some marine epoxy, hopefully that will work. I didn't get the marine epoxy that you need to work into a paste, but the more standard one. It says that it can be used to set fiberglass, so hopefully it'll work well with it.
