I'm about to grab one of those little throttle cable lubricators for the upcoming season, anyone have suggestions? I was just going to grab one of the $10 ones off eBay, Like this one. Not too sure what the best lube is for the cables though.

Also which end is easier to lube from, the carb end or the throttle stick end? I guess the steering cables can get the same treatment too.

I normally use Tri-Flow, or even Maxima Chain Wax. (I normally have it, since I'm a bike guy)

I will say this... if the cables are stiff... chances are... they just need replaced. If this is just preventative... then great !!

The throttle and choke cables may smooth out. (I would probably do it from both sides) But the steering and reverse cables are jacketed, sealed cables. If they are stiff... the seals gave out, and the are rusting/corroding internal.

Cheers doc! I actually have that Maxima stuff for my dirt bike chains, sweet deal.

I figured I would do the cables just for maintenance, haven't done it yet in my short ownership yet.
