So after 2 weekends of bad weather we finally had a clear one....got down to dock and out in the water...started to take off and got that low volt warning + code...the boat just now has 30 hours on it....so I had a battery tester on me and battery read nearly 100% charged....so I found the 2 fuses that are tied in with the charging system 30 and 20 and replaced.....took off again and got about 50 yards and code goes again....had multi meter with and check battery with motor off and it read 12.6v...started the motor and at idle it was 14v...so I drove around for about hour with low voltage warning coming on basically on and off the whole time.....once I got home I checked battery percentage and it was 100%......
Any idea guys what I should do?

Took the battery into today to get a load test done on it and it was fine...could a rectifier go in and out causing this? Or do they just go bad and there's no in between?

K...that does help because it goes on and off through out the ride...I ordered a new one....was going to try and switch it...if that doesn't work I have a spare at least....the battery is charging it's nearly full when I get home....thanks for the info...any ideas what I should try out while waiting on parts?

They do go in and out based on temperature. When they are hot they expand and quit working.

Ok, so I ordered the rectifier and of course they sent me the wrong one right before Labor Day.....so I just brought a extra battery with me incase my other one died...the low voltage alarm was going off and on all day....never needed the extra battery...kept checking mine with tester and was reading around 98% charged....but I did notice when taking off or turning things on the low voltage would go off and on...does this still sound like the rectifier?

Recrifier or bad connection. Either will/ can act like that.

K.....yea then it has to be rectifier.....I checked connections a number of times....I should be getting the part Tuesday....I'll post back after I test ride...

Thanks

Ok so seadoo dealer was cool and let me use a rectifier over the weekend to see if that was my issue....same exact thing with new rectifier....all the fuses have been changed and every connection has been cleaned....stator is working great....ran my boat all day Saturday and Sunday with the beeping going off nearly the entire time...battery is fully charged after all that.....
Should I remove the intire fuse holder for the rectifier and install new one with new 30amp?

At the battery, if you hook a meter up what is the voltage? At idle? Higher RPMs?

Let's see if you have a voltage issue or a bad warning.

With engine off its 12.6 and at idle it's 14.8... When pumping the throttle it stays the same maybe varies only by one or two .points....

Thanks for the reply

Those are good charging numbers. At least we know which direction to look in. I would remove and clean any connection that's has to do with the low volt warning system. If the ground is dirty, it will add resistance and decrease the amperage at the reading device.

It just started to poor here so after the storm passes I'll get on that....and if I have enough time today I'll water test and report back....thanks for the response and help..
Had another question about my guage cluster...everything works but doesn't light up at all for night driving...I started a thread on this a while back also...

No go on the cleaning and checking for loose wires...same results....when I was out I tryed to tighten the fuse holder up for the 30 amp fuse by applying pressure with pliers...made it worse....goes off full time now...going to try and cut out fuse holder and replace with new one...

Plus I found out that the light for my guage cluster is internal an can't be replaced...gotta buy the whole unit...going to pop off small chrome cover plate and install small LED light and tie into the toggle switch it goes with.

Still waiting for chance to go out....but in the mean time I fixed my gauge issue...installed blue LED lights under my chrome face plate and tied it in with factory switch.image.jpg

Dash cluster back light never worked from when I bought the boat...but after about 12 hours I put on it after purchase I'm getting the code low voltage p0562...battery stays fully charghed even after 2 days of riding...

Ok.....never got to test it at end of summer but I did testerday...drove around for about a hour...no warning...no 12 volt low..all was great...stoped at a island to walk around...when we headed back to the ramp it sounded 12volt low....I was driving and doing about 33 mph...right before the warning came on I felt the engine drop back in power...it wasn't a big decrease but enough to feel it...it was very slight...something that only the driver could feel...but I knew something was wrong and then the light and buzzer came on..it happened in a matter of 3 seconds between each other...
I have done everything I can...read threw lots of forums...has anyone figured this out yet?...should I just run the wires directly to the battery and skip the junction box?

Had super charger rebuilt and dealer did a free diagnostic test...showed the low voltage warning did come on but not showing the fault anymore...the entire electrical system checks out perfect they said...but I'm still getting 12 volt low p0562...
They told me to splice into the red power wire on the rectifier....on the return side after converted to dc power and run a 20amp in line fuse directly to the battery...they said it will fix the issue...
Has anybody Hurd of this or did this mod?

Thanks

That may turn off the fault code, but I wouldn't call that "fixing the issue" more like bypassing the issue.

Yea I really want it fixed...just can't get it figured out...I can put 6 hours on the boat and the battery stays %100 charged....something simple me and dealer are missing...I'm going to try the jumping mod out but not give up on figuring the issue out...
Should be able to go out next weekend and I'll post back

Talked to dealer to see what the main purpose was for running that additional wire...reason they said is because the factory wiring on seadoo sucks.....he thought it was funny I didn't cause I gotta drive with my finger over buzzer...then he broke it down, the factory wire is to small of a gauge to carry the charging load back to the battery....when running multiple accessiores the carry load can't keep up..he worded it a little better but hopefully you guys get it....I have t had a chance to install..., it's been raining here since Saturday morning...
