I can no longer get more than 6400 rpm and 20-25mph. Before taking my 2008 Challenger 180 to the shop for the 15 hour service it would top out around 8000 rpm and 45mph. If anyone has a suggestion before I take it back to the shop, it would be greatly appreciated.

1st check the oil and make sure they didnt over fill it.
2nd "IF" yours is supercharged pull the intake off the supercharger and make sure the impeller doesnt spin. Sounds like a supercharger failure to me.

At any rate it sounds like a warranty issue either way...These motors run best with the oil at the exact middle of the dip stick marks of the dip stick.

I will check the oil level again but it looked about right. It is probably a warranty issue though. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't mssing something simple. Thanks for the suggestions and quick reply's.

I wouldn't run it till you get it resolved. If it is the Super Charger it will be warranted but it might be down for a bit of time getting parts this time of of year. That service is a 10 hour service anyway. you might just need spark plugs...Have you changed them? if it has a fouled plug it could be the problem too.

Keep us posted on you progress.

They told me they changed all the plugs at the 10 hour service about a month ago. Today is the first time I ran it in the water since I picked it up from the dealer.

Is there any safe performance mods to get another 5-10 mph out of it after I get it running right. I like the little boat just wish it was a little quicker.

Oh I gotcha ...I have been post blinded reading all the posts tonight... Bring it back to the dealer to check it out. I wouldn't even fool with it.
As for extra speed that should be just a round 58- 60mph at top end with the super charged model.
