Hi, has anyone out there heard of putting a bed liner on the bottom side of the ski.? Got told once that provides great protection and also(what i was more interested in is) helps with top speed.? His theory was like how a sharks skin is also rough like linex or a rhino liner, it creates turbulence and less friction between you and the water. Does anyone know? Thanks

do not rhino line your ski !! is this water world? where are you mounting the 50cals ? seriously, it will slow you down alot, and also add alot of weight to your ski.

resistance?.....

I can understand the theory that someone is trying to pass on here but; if this was truly a solution to a faster hull, don't you think you'd see it from a manufacturer as some kind of new revolution in high performance skis?

This type paint along with any kind of anti-fouling is heavier than the surface coats used now. Add weight, slow speed. I think that's the best way to say it.

The hulls are already designed to be as efficient as they possibly can. There is nothing you can do short of putting on hydro foils, making it actually lift from the waters surface, that could make it any faster.........stick with the smooth gel-coat.
