Large rock in prop.

My son was riding my brothers 97 seadoo and sucked up pretty good size rock. It wedged between the wear ring and the prop. I replaced the prop and wear ring now it seems like it is missing while idling and won't go very fast. Could something happened to the motor from this.

while pump off, did you check the "true" in driveshaft, and/or inspect the splines on both ends..driveshaft, pto

just a quick glance at the spline by the impellor. Didn't check drive shaft. I will bring it home tomorrow and check that. He wants it running by this weekend for his daughter to ride. It seems like it is cutting out when you give it the gas. Spark plugs are pretty dark on the end but they are firing. kinda worried about damage to motor. Thanks

you could've "sheard" a tooth/2 on the brass gear, in the RV assy, also...or inspect to see if you gotta bent crank. Pull the plugs and w/ 2 long scredrivers, turn the motor at "pto", and make sure they move opposite, at all times.
