There is a special type of step-less clamps on the PTO flywheel boot.
The dealer tells me the smaller of the two clamps can be a zip-tie.
The Clymer manual says these clamps are reusable, but a special tool
(Sea Doo Pliers #'s 255 000 069, and 295 000 054) is required to remove/secure it.
Obviously I don't have these tools and the dealer wants $27.00 for the boot, and $17.00 just for the large clamp!! You don't even want to know the dealer charge for putting it on!
Outrageous!
I'm wondering......
Can those be replaced with regular hose clamps or will the screw assembly on the hose clamp throw off the balance?
What if I were to counter balance the screw assemblies opposite of each other?
Theoretically they would cancel each other out and not cause any balance wobble. Right?
