FULL-THROTTLE

Howdy,

I just picked up a 98 Challenger, works great and alot of fun, I am curious is there any way to completely turn off the electrical system? I notice when I remove the DESS key the radio, lights and other electrical things will still work.
As you can probably guess I found this out by a dead battery.

Any feedback would be helpful.

Thanks,

Fran

Im new to the boat world but i'll chime in. In my boat an 05 challenger there is a round black knob that turns clockwise to turn on the battery power and counterclockwise to shut off power. Its a little smaller than the circular size of a CD and its located about 2 feet away from my battery. Try following your red power cable starting from the battery and it should lead you to a battery switch within 4ft.

From the factory i don't think your boat has a battery isolation switch, but they are easy to fit, i fitted a single switch but will upgrade to a double soon, go for the double so if you decide to fit a second battery later you will already have the switch. Check the pic's
