Just bought a 2001 rx

Hi Guys I just bought a 2001 rx of a mate who has just replaced the wear ring, but not riden it since (like a week ago) he said it went awsome when he 1st got it 2 years ago but lost its low down power but still had the top end. the ski had 206 hours on it and bever been touched. I am wondering how long before the engine needs rebuild.
Do you get them rebuilt or is it cheap the get one some where?
Do you think the wear ring was the low down power problem ( as i have not ridden it yet) how often should the wear ring be replaced? and whet other stuff needs doing?

well it goes like a cut snake better then my 99 gtx that had only 50 hrs on it, but the fuel gauge and speedo dont work any idea's?
