Long story short I rolled the dice and bought this boat at an auction for dirt cheap. Was able to do a compression test but thats it without a dess key. Anyways finally got a new key and battery. Engines start right up but I am getting NO POWER to any of the electronics or switches on my cluster. Speedo, tachs, radio, bilge, lights, blower, nothing. Only thing that lights up are my warning lights. And only switches that work are the start stop switch.

SOOOO heres the deal. I joined another forum to look at the shop manuals but all the manuals are missing the wiring diagrams. I'm close to wits end but just thought of something. IM THINKING maybe when I removed the old battery and installed the new one I missed a ground. I tried looking to make sure I didn't miss anything but maybe I didn't look well enough. So how many ground wires are supposed to be hooked up to my battery? I've currently got 2 and have a feeling there is a third I'm missing. Thanks in advance.

I believe it is 2 as well, that's all mine has. Make sure each one is going to each engine and there should also be one running from engine 1 to 2. At least that's how mine is. Did you check all of the fuses, under the cooler tub, each fuse box for each engine? Do you have power making it to the switch but then nothing turns on or no power at all?

Thanks for the reply. When I looked at it I thought it was 2 as well but looking at the parts microfiche it shows three grounds, unless im looking at it wrong. All fuses are good. I have an extra vcm (twin engine interface) which I swapped and all symptoms remain. It has to be a ground issue or wire harness issue but like I said im searching for a needle in a haystack without a diagram.

Ok. It was EXACTLY what I thought it was. There was a small ground hidden behind the battery that goes to the wiring harness. I believe its the "low current ground".

Yea I knew it was something stupid laughing at me from the shadows of the bilge, lol. I stayed up all night last night thinkin "what am I missing".

Battery was dead when I got the boat. I took it out to take iy in for a battery deposit return when I went to buy new one. When removing there were 3 grounds. 2 for each engone and one called (per the manual) low current ground. This was the culprit that I completely forgot about.
