Jet Pump "oil" or grease?

Sorry to sound like a clueless newbie (which I am) but I am about to change the jet pump oil on my 2009 GTI SE 130 and was going to use the oil until I read somewhere here that some people have switched to grease. Which one do I need to use? Oil or grease? Thanks.

Check what your manual says. The 2-stroke models that I have use synthetic gear oil.

I'm pretty sure your 09 has grease.

Thanks guys. I was ready to get the expensive BRP gear oil. Any idea what kind of grease I should get?

I use the synthetic grese and have had no problems what so ever. If you don't want shell out the "big bucks" for synthetic then marine grease is a good alternative. Make sure you clean out all the old grease as best you can before you put the new grease in.

Thanks. I dont have a service manual for this ski so I rely on the experts here. I tried to get a manual as a "premium member" but no one ever responded to my repeated requests. I will probably discontinue my 2 year premium membership once it expires. I find that the regular members are much more helpful with their advice.
