1998 speedster twin 110's jet mount plate too transom gasket looks getting bad . Could i use rtv gasket in place of the gasket if i cant find new gaskets ? I know just makes tougher too remove jet again but im learning that these older boats are getting hard too get parts for now a days . So was thinking i MAY be getting little water in bilge from the seals so im gona fill up bilge and double check next few days but in meantime looking for much advice as i can regarding alternative source too parts . But i know rtv well used but only on certain repairs

The neoprene seal between the jet pump and transom does nothing to seal water out of the boat. It's purpose is to keep the pump from sucking air and causing cavitation.

I keep 5-6 On hand at all times as I replace them every time I pull a pump off.

The only way water can be entering the hull from the drivetrain is if your carbon seal and boot are worn. This is the part that is on the driveshaft where it enters the hull.
