Speed record!....
Mirage......nice looking ride!....but I am still looking forward to setting the water record with my special order, Sea-Doo, 2009 model LMX. It's suppose to come from the factory with the capability of 180 mph without afterburners. Once I hit the "boost button", then the after burner will kick in and carry me over 200 mph. The hull design is based on the RXT. The only real difference is it's equipped with the LM 2500 gas turbine engine instead of the slowpoke supercharged 4-TEC....
I'll be burning a mixture of Kerosene and JP4, high performance jet fuel. At WOT, it will get 30 minutes run time and with afterburners, only 12 minutes. To keep me on the water, there will be a set of auto-hydraulic, extendable hydrofoils that will take the ski 8 inches off the waters surface, to ease the friction created at such high speed. The nose will have a tunnel ram for two purposes. For the air induction to the turbine and a down force to keep the nose from rising off the water.
I'll be wearing a parachute attached to the back of the seat so that in event of a high speed emergency, like a roll over, a gyro will eject the parachute and seat if the ski yaw's more than 7 degrees....
So you go ahead and leave the water for a year......go play with your little land toy. Us real water, racing enthusiasts, will be bustin it loose out here!
Oh, the total price tag on my new model LMX is a mere, $142.000, but well worth it. For a one of a kind machine like this, I could probably double my money in resale to the next speed demon who really wanted to go fast!
Oh, I forgot to mention that I haven't got the blue prints approved by Sea-Doo yet to really build it for me. As a matter of fact, they haven't even returned any of my attempts to get some kind of open dialogue started on it. Oh well, maybe they think I'm a little crazy. But it was a nice idea, wasn't it!...........
