Is there a difference in a 96 Speedster Pump and a 96 XP Pump?

Took a 96 Speedster in with a bad pump. Seeing how it has the same engines as the 96 XP I was wondering if the pumps are the same? I have a 96 XP for parts that has a good pump and was wondering if I'm good or do I need to start looking for a pump. Thank you!

No difference, that I have seen.
I believe that post is either referencing a different year or someone had already swapped pumps on him.

You need to look at the pump cone. If the 3 screws are on the out side it's a small hub, if the 3 screws are counter sunk in the cone its a large hub pump. You can switch them but you have to have the corresponding impeller. Meaning you can't put a 96xp small hub impeller on a large hub pump and vice versa.

The large hub pumps were not out in 96, but someone could have swapped one in its life time. If the one on the boat has brass veins and the one on the XP has brass veins you're good to go.
