is bombardier lube the same thing as xps lube?

manual says to use bombardier lube to fog engine, I bought the stuff dealer and used it , but now searching for the stuff i cant find it anywhere , but can can find xps lube and xps fogging oil. I imagine that bombardier lube is fine since the manual says to use that , but is xps lube the same as the bombardier lube? and what is the point of having xps fogging oil when the manual says to use bomb lube?

ok went through a bunch of manuals and found that xps lube started to be recommended to be used to fog engine in 2007 , which replaced the bombardier lube, my new question is should i go to the dealer and tell them i dont want a 4 year old can of lube? and what is the point of xps fogging oil since none of the manuals say to use it.

You can use any good brand of fogging oil. Sta-bil makes a good one at a lot less than xps/Seadoo oil

I guess I dont remember seeing it in the manual either...but you want to fog the motor. If you can fog the motor after EVERY ride it will last MANY hours longer than if you dont.

If you want the best...its called Storage seal by merc. I perfer the napa stuff though b/c I'm addicted to the smell and its a little cheaper.

ok thanks , i think its odd that the dealer had a 4 year old can of bombardier lube and sold me it (and of course i bought it) xps lube is its replacement now , they recommend using the xps or the bomb lube and never anything about their xps fogging oil, i know there is other brands, just happened to be at the dealer and picked up what i read was suppose to be used.

It came out looking and smelling fine . Just pissed that I used a lube from the dealership trying to use the right stuff that was 4 damn years old in a 12000 machine .

LOL funny my dad had bought a bunch of old cans of fogging oil at an estate sale and when I sprayed it, it came out like MX chain lube (foamy and thick) it was so old. So...I used it for chain lube.

You kinda gotta watch that stuff...the sta-bil at some stores has been sitting there for years, and that is another thing you want to be at least kind of fresh.

I'd take it back. I still see the old white jugs of sea-doo oil at my dealer... they went to yellow YEARS and YEARS ago...

Lol thanks guys . I was looking at an old Seadoo manual that says to fog engine with bombardier lube so I didn't think anything of it until I couldn't find it anywhere online

White is mineral oil, black is semi synthetic, and yellow is full Synthetic.
