They are fun but nothing special. They are easier to ride than a 550 and the 91-92 was the better year with a better carb and rear exhaust. For $500 I would buy it and beat on it.

Find a set of straight bars and an extended ride plate for it.

Its 1400 cad so its like 1100 usd

The manual says compression should be 178 and the guy said the psi is 150 /140 last time he checked is that acceptable ?

And also are parts easy to find for kawasaki
Cant find free repair manual anywere

Definitely get one but I think I would pass on this one. When someone says "it just needs a carb rebuild" or "it just needs a battery", it means that there are more serious problems. Tell him you will buy it if he fixes the carb and you see it running properly. Parts are easy to get. I used to race a 650SX and ranked #4 in Canada in 1990. I can advise you on some good modifications to make it ride better and more fun. You won't regret buying a stand-up. I currently have a 98 750 SXi-Pro and a 90 650SX.

Nice Chester, I rode an 89’ 650 SX for years and regret selling it to buy a brand new 98’ SXI Pro in 1998. Totally different skis but I miss the 650 the most. Still searching for a mint stock 1991-1992 650 SX.

I understand ur concern but i was going to do a compression test and if its 150 i thought i can fix all other problems myself

I would pass on that one because of the price and the unknowns. Besides possibly only needing a carb rebuilt it also looks like the turf is on it's way out. Plus the only reason people take pictures of stuff wet is because it is faded. That ski in my area would be about $500-$800US. I think you would spend a lot of money getting that back in shape, I would look out for one in better condition. But that 90's custom no fat chicks paint is priceless :)

Ive got a fully modded 89 650 and its a blast. I like i prefer superjets though. The ski you posted would probably sell for $1400-1600 in spring time here if its was in good running condition. Since its winter time though, I would offer $500 and see what he says.

What do you mean superjets?

In canada stand up jet ski is very rare to find and they cost a lot same year fully runing is 3000

Superjets are the yamaha stand ups, generally they handle a bit better. There worth a lot more generally then the kawis, particularly then the 650sx. The 650sx is probably the least desirable it seems in the stand up world. That said, a 650sx was what i learned to ride a stand up on. Machine was great, but I paid $1000 US and it was ready to ride on a trailer, needed minor cosmetic work and that was all.
