I have a 1996 Seadoo Jet Ski. I had it worked on last fall and was returned to me just in time to winterize. SO when I put the battery in and started this spring I saw a flashing "Low Fuel" and the red light on indicating low fuel. Saw no fuel bars. So immediately put in fuel BUT did not take as much as I would have thought if was empty. After filling up still flashing and red light. Was very dim also. Then I noticed a dark spot the size of a dime maybe in the middle. This was not what I had it worked on for. Actually they put in a new module because was bogging down at higher speeds. What is wrong and did the mechanic probably do something and screw it up?

It sounds like maybe it has a dirty wire connection somewhere. Check the connectors. It could also be a stuck fuel sender unit in the tank. Take it for a ride and see if it goes away. The fuel moving up and down might unstuck it ... Keep us posted.

Thanks. Will check out this weekend. Do think the connection could be causing it to be so dim and also the dark spot in the middle of the display?
