Instructions for replacing the steering cable on a 2003 Utopia 205

Need some instructions. Don't want to make any mistakes here. Have the manual, but not too helpful unless I'm missing something...

Don't really need instructions for this one. Unbolt it... and put the new one in.

I would recommend spraying the hardware on the pump end with PB Blaster the day before, to make sure you aren't fighting corrosion.


With that said... if you run into an issue... just yell, and we will help.

How do I remove it from the steering wheel? Really not sure what needs to be removed on that end. I'm the guy who removed the corroded jet pump so that end is all done.

Once you look in the helm... you will see it's basically 2 nuts, and it will be loose. (one on the mount, and one on the cable) Then, remove any hardware from the old cable, that didn't come with the new one.

Ok, great! How do I open the helm? Do I access through the dash or is there a channel to expose everything? Thanks again!

I don't own a Utopia... and I've never put my hands on one.... BUT... I'm 99% sure you will lift the backrest on the seat in front of it. Once it's off... there is an access opening.
