Installing tower on 2005 Sportster 4tec

Hi, new guy here. For those of you who put aftermarket tower on Sportster, where do you guys put the tower mounts? I tried to google some pictures of sportsters/speedsters with wakeboard towers, and seems like general consensus is to have the rear feet of the tower somewhere around the gas fill, and front feet in front of the the console. That way you can easily reach both rear feet mounting location through engine hatch and front starboard feet mounting location through the hole with wires/steering to put in the backing plates and tighten the nuts. But what do you do with the front port mounting point? Do you somehow squeeze tool/hand through the cupholder hole?? Is there some other way to do this? I know I won't fit my hand there far enough to do that...
