Installing Carbs???

I just got done rebuilding my carbs on a 96 XP. When I re-install these, what needs to be done to get them synced correctly? Also what do I need to do to sync it with the oil pump if anything? Any info regarding timing or oil pump issues would be appreciated Thanks.

Kt, as long as you didn't adjust anything on the carb linkage you should be ok with the sync. Just check and make sure both carbs open at the same time or it will vibrate and back fire.
Carb setting for your model.
Low speed screw= 1
High Speed screw= 0
Idle in water= 1500
Idle out of water= 3000

Thank you for the VERY fast response. I did not adjust anything on the linkage rod. I assume that on the throttle cable just make sure it has no slack and I should be ok? Anything I need to do with the oil pump???

Look really closely at you oil pump disk (lever that cable is on). There is little tiny alignment mark there that must be aligned with another straight line on the pump body. Adjust cable as need to match these lines to make one straight line.
Might use a mirror to see down there if its cramped for space. :cheers:
