Ingesting sticks into props causing power loss

I have a 2004 Speedster 2000. I boat in the Arlington VA and DC area. I have had three experiences with sticks getting injested into the props and causing performance problems. Are there any suggetions how to keep this problem from occurring or are there any screens available that can be added to the gates inorder to prevent objects from getting into the props? The last two times the sticks were stuck and I had to dislodge after getting the boat out of the water. The problem is frustrating as it takes the fun out of boating when I have to keep going back in to shore to fix the problem?

Havn't heard of oem/aftermarket kit, but..rig it up. Get screen from hardware/metal store,"aluminum" and rivot it or pinch it, with the screws holding the grate.
