Idle to high?

1) Check throttle plates. There are 4. Are they all closing all the way? Are any of the linkages on port side of engine binding or tight? There are adjustments, get the service book here.

2) Check all the rubber crankcase hoses. The break at the ends and can cause strange idle characteristics. Be careful of the brass hose barbs- they are too easy to break.

One more to check-- the throttle position sensor TPS could be mis-adjusted and holding the throttle open slightly.
