idle speed 97 gsx

Having a hard time understanding the idle speed out of water is 3000 and in water is 1500 so I guess these ski are not made to idle and sit still I had 1 set about 1300 and they wanted to take off

They are direct drive with the pto. If the engine is running then the impeller is spinning and you are moving. There is no neutral on these machines

correct, no transmission, no neutral.

The closest thing to neutral is on a model with reverse where you can balance the fine line between moving forward and sitting still, but the impeller is still moving the entire time.
