I have a 96 challenger jet boat. A friend with an upholstery business offered to re do my cracked, ripped and torn seats. I can't figure how to get the seat back section out. I found only two screws. does anyone know how to get them out? Please!:ack:

Seats!

There are a total of 4 bolts that hold the upper part of the seat backs on to the hull. Two that are in the engine compartment and one on each side arm rest. You have to reach your arm in from the back of the engine compartment up into the side of the hull.
If your going to have them covered, you might also want to check on ebay. You can get some pretty good deals on seats.....you just have to catch them at the right time for the ones you need.....
Holler back if you have any problems getting them off!

Another "removing the seats" questions

I would like to recover just the seat bottom centers. The small round part where your bum sits. Do I have to take the backs out to get them out as well? Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I can't find any bolts. It is a 1996 Speedster.

Think its a total of 6 bolts on the bottom but maybe 4 you have to reach way up under the seat from the engine compartment. Like right above the gas tank its a real pain put one foot on each side of the motor and bend over :hurray:

i was going to do the same thing on my 95 speedster, was told that they are quick clips that will break, but to just pull the centers out which is true, bolts or clips...?

:agree: only 4 bolts and there is only 2 places between the gas tank and the seat that has enough room for you to put your hands and this is where the bolts will be 2 on each side. This is for the botom only

How do I remove side/rear cushions from 1997 seadoo challanger?

I have figured out how to remove the back seats from my by boat with the help of your comments...now I am trying to figure out how to remove the side cushions that border the back seats on both the left and right side of the boat. Anyone know how to do this?
