Well it started off as a great day nice big swells getting big air until i started to bog down and back fire. i idled back to the boat ramp checked everything over. I cleaned the plugs and unplugged the stator plug on the front cover. It looked a bit wet so i blew it out and put it all back together. Ran great again, wife and i haul donkey back to the big water to have more fun. We both get a bunch of great jumps in i land hard a few times but on the last landing i came down hard enough for me to hit my chest on the bars. The engine shuts off and my wife blows past me, thinking i'm just taking a sit down from that last landing. Well i go to restart the ski and it just cranks and cranks no start. I unplug my lanyard and get the distinctive two beeps upon re installing it. Again crank but no strart:facepalm: So i flag her down and time my ski to hers. Once on the dock i lifted seat and smelt electrical burning. Quickly i took off the battery cables. Came home and looked at the stator plug and found it burnt. What could cause this? I will say i did install a new rectifier recently but it was from sea doo not aftermarket. Sigh just when we start having fun stuff has to go wrong.
