I hate the seadoo beep

I have always hated how loud my seadoo beeps when you go to start it. I have not tried to find where the sound comes from but would love to turn it down or muffle it

Not sure where it is on the Challenger, but on my Sportster, it was threaded through the bottom of the dash. Found it way too loud too, so I unscrewed it, and just have it tucked inside the dash now. Can still hear it, but it's much more bearable now.

I was going to suggest putting a resistor in line to see if that reduced the volume but your idea is way better.

I just put a piece of black electric tape over and it worked all season. Just trim the tape around and no one will be able to tell, can still hear a little bit in case of alarm but not outside boat.

Just remember, it also alerts you when you're over heating.
