HP Question

Looking at a 2003 sportster LT with a two stroke 947 engine. was wondering what the HP is in this engine and about how fast it should it go. Also wondering what the compression should be? the boat only has 10 hrs on it and they are asking
$4700, dose that sound like a fair price?

A 947/951 is rated at 135HP, compression should be 130psi, and I would think the boat should run at about 45mph top speed. 10 hours on a 10 year old boat is not necessarily a good thing. I would suspect the boat has been in storage for a number of years, and seals harden.
See if you can find out the history on the boat. You can look up the fair market price on nada.
