Not at all. It does help to get the airbox off and the oil tank. But the oil tank has to come out to get the airbox off so you are already 50% there at that point.
I'm just trying to figure out what's gonna be the easiest and best way to do this I've never replaced a throttle cable on a sea doo any input on how to remove and adjust is greatly appreciated !! Thanks again
Exactly as I said above.
Use the free online manual.
Align the marks on the oil pump.
Set slack at closed throttle.
To check the TPS once everything is back together find the plug where it connects to the cable. Locate the white wire with black stripe slide a paper clip along the wire into the plug. Attach a multi meter set to volts DC to clip and ground. Push start button without lanyard to power up system and meter needs to read 5 Volts. At 80% throttle it has to drop to 0 volts. Adjust adjuster up near handlebars to get within spec.
Double check oil pump and throttle closing all the way.
On mine I removed the two intake funnels. Then unbolted the top air box clip bracket from the pipe. It comes out the front so you have to move the oil tank out of the way. Just when you think it will never come out it will slide right out like butter.
