I was at the lake the other day and was not to sure about this. I saw a guy in a yamaha boat reving his engine once he was out of the water on the trailer. It was only for about 4-5 seconds and i could see lots of water coming out from the jet area. I just put my boat on the trailer and unplug the plugs. Any of you do this?

nah...takes few seconds, and you get most of water out of system. Dont want it sit'n in there, rust'n up anything, or if exhaust will leak water back into cylinders...

Anything else that is the norm? I didn't see this in the manual... Just wondering what other tricks are there?

The water coming out is actually from the cooling system via the exhaust. It helps push water out of the engine cooling jacket, pipe and hoses. No water from the jet pump itself.
