Thats what i keep telling my friends. I mean the slips have the drive on pads but i like the feeling of having my ski in my yard. I just spend 5 grand for it and its like my new baby now. haha
Skis are on ramps in the backyard. I have to drive about 1/2 mile to the actual ramp to put them in the water at the beginning of the season.

In Michigan I'm pretty much like Jake's set up...about 50 feet or so from house to water. I keep the boat on a covered hoist and the ski (Green SD)on a regular hoist. The other 2 skis you see are my nephews Yamahas and is using my old hoist for one of his

In Florida it's about a 20 minute drive to the SR 64 ramp just West of I-75. I'm sure they are others, just haven't found them yet

Where about in North East Ohio do you live?
I lived in Madison for YEARS which is very close to the Lake County / Ashtabula Line.
I now live in the Strongsville are. I hit the lake whenever I am able but travel to meet others when the opportunity presents itself...
I'm not in the northeast. I'm more north-central to northwest , in Fremont. There's a ramp downtown at a place called "The Tackle Box". From that point it takes me just about 1 hour to Lake Erie.
Very familiar with Fremont.
We had a "hidden" warehouse in the Camp Perry area with lots of goodies.. 28-combat boats, lots of machine guns including 20 fifty-cals, trucks, cars ect ect.. I worked in that area for 20-ish years.
Once you hit the river do you have to keep it slow or can you at least cruise?
I normally get down to the Sandusky area two-times a year to ride the ski. Mostly I go out right near Cleveland about 2-miles east from the Cuyahoga River.
