how do i reset my ECU

I recently blow the piston rings in my jet ski. I’ve rebuilt the engine and now I need to reset the ECU as its stuck in limp mode

Can anyone help?

I don't think your model has a limp mode, SD started that in 2000 with the 951 DI models as I recall, yours is a 951 carb.

Anyway, they don't get stuck in limp mode, they reset everytime the lanyard is put back on. Let us know exactly what your problem is with detailed symptoms so we can help.

when u put the key in it makes a 2nd beep an wont rev past about 10mph. All the carbs have been cleaned an fuel lines replaced.

2 beeps is good. Re-check ur fuel line route.

Your saying it won't rev past 10 mph. How many rpm's is that? It sounds like you have another underlying problem.

Have you done a compression test since you re-done the motor?

it does the 2 beep thing an then about 30secs later it does a long 2 second beep. nothing is displayed on the dash about a fault

Fuel lines are correct an its pumping oil.

The engine has good compression on both cylinders.

ive had the coil looked at and its working like new.

The engine starts 1st time an will rev to half throttle untill i get any problems

the long 2 second beep sounds like low fuel warning, most likely not related.

sounds like a carb/fuel supply problem
