Hours on 2003 GTI ?

Just wondering.. Is there a way to fint out the hours on my 2003 GTI.
Any electronic thingy who keeps counting even though there are no visible hour counter?

The seller said "low hours" but my guess is that he didn't have a clue. The machine looks like brand new so i'm sure it is pretty low hours.

Just want to know out of curiousity, it doesn't really matter.. but you know.. if there is a way to find out, why not do it..

if you take it to a dealer they can hook it up to a computer and give you that information. They will sometimes do it for free but most likely they will charge you 1/2 their hourly rate.
