Hello all. I have a 1990 sea doo gt. The hose was placed too far into the intake port during flushing. The hose wrapped around the shaft. At the first sound of trouble the engine was shut down. The hose was later freed with plyers. The hose had a cut in it from where it extended to the impeller. The impeller would always vibrate a little at low idle. After the incident the vibration sound was louder - at home. Later, the jetski was put back into the water and run for 5 minutes. No problem until a second person got on and we taxied out to the ocean. Halfway there, a higher rmp sound was made. Then, there was also no propulsion. We have it home now and have loosened and retightened the pump housing. It sounds and runs fine now - at home, but is not under water pressure. Not sure how to fix no propulsion..... Kevin

I have never seen a hose do this before. If you could take photos of how you did this I am sure that everyone here would like to see them. Please share these unusual experiences with us all so we can learn.

Might have stripped the splines at the driveshaft or the pump assembly.

I would check the wear ring for damage..040 is the limit measured at the center of the impeller blade.
