Help with an oil problem on my 98 gsx limited

I went to charge the battery on my ski and noticed oil in the bottom of the hull. There appears to be a white/clear plastic valve above the oil tank itself that is dripping oil. Its the kind of valve that looks like it should have some type of hose connected to it but it doesnt. Should something be hooked up to this valve or is it an overflow valve or what? Thanks!!

Valve

It's the oil tank vent valve. Probably over filled oil tank and oil came out the valve.
