Dear members of Seadoo forum I came here to ask for help..

My boss (very impatient and hot-blooded person) told me to buy a Seadoo Bombardier XP Di or its successor (in function/purpose not name or engine power). Can you help me out with that ? Which Seadoo is the functional successor of XP Di? Some people recommended RXP and RXP-X, do you think they were right?
I was told that my boss chose XP Di because it was shortest and the most aslant of all Seadoo PWCs therefore (supposedly) more nimble. Can you reccomend any modern (latest) Seadoo PWC that could be a worthy successor of XP Di and fit into aforementioned requirements (short, nimble, aslant bottom) ?

Any help would be deeply appreciated..

Best regards

Welcome to the seadoo forum Halski83. Your kidding right? RXP-X is a good choice if you can afford it. All the new Rotax BRP's are 4-tec engines with Super Chargers. The ones you mention are old dinosaurs. Every seadoo is an improvement over them.

I wish I was kidding. I'm a real newbie to whole PWC world yet was given an assignment to buy Seadoo PWC. Price is not importnant factor here, my boss is very wealthy man and can afford a lot. Karl, laugh at me as much as you want but please reffer to my boss' expectations and recommend something. If you know an old XP Di, know what was its purpose (main thought behind its design) then maybe you could use this criterias and recommend some of seadoo latest release that were designed with the same main thought as XP Di.

I'm aware of the fact that this sound unbelievable that someone unfamiliar with PWCs was assigned such task as buying one of those units but I can't help it so if you can provide me with any information or hint that would help to succeed with this task I would be very grateful..

Kind regards

My response is that the seadoos you referred to were old dinosaurs, and ALL seadoos are better when compared them... All the new technology is really advanced to those 2 stroke years. You might want to go to a local dealer and have a look see on the show room floor. these seadoos now do 70mph all day long and turn on a dime.
I don't laugh at any member...it's just that, that was a weird question.

I ride a '97 XP and if I could by a brand new xp today, I would by it in a heart beat, dinosour or not. Too bad BRP decided to can that style. They could have put the new technology in it. I love the way the seat compresses when you carve a tight turn and my back loves the direct action suspension. Surprisingly, it has lower gas cosumption per hour than the 4-tecs. I still get envy looks and compliments on it today. I still outrun most of the other brand PWCs.

They replaced the XP with the 3D style, which I don't care for at all.

If I were looking for a replacement to my XP, I would look at the RXT-X. But that is because I can't get a new XP.

That's just my .02

The problem is that there is no local dealer (Poland) so I don't really have a chance to go and see it live. I still sustain my question: if you were to choose for yourself replace for Seadoo XP Di what would you choose/recommend ?

I really count on your opinions people as PWC salesmen in Poland are highly unprofessional and can't tell the difference between one PWC and another. On the other hand I don't really have a choice I need to find a worthy substitute/replacement for my boss' Seadoo XP Di as finding XP Di in Poland in a very good shape is close to impossible..
