Had a great ride on the weekend (SPX with light green seat etc.) moored for a while and kids enjoyed jumping off the anchor ski. Wife took it for a blast and went well also! Again anchored Kids had fun, may have flipped it!
Went to start, o no water in cyl. Took out plugs and wound over till water gone! Sprayed CRC into cylinders, but haven't been game enough to try and start.
What could be the problem, where did the water come from?
Please help.
Cheers

I could be wrong, but I think the water came from the LAKE!

:)

Seriously, take the position that it does not matter WHERE it came from, what matters is that you get her cleaned out, (you already did that) and get her running, ASAP.

And, as to your question,"where did the water come from?" These watercraft are SUPPOSED to be flipped back upright in ONE direction. If kids play on one, there can be a bit of water in the exhaust system, and if they managed to flip it the wrong way, (even partially) it can dump water BACKWARD down into the exhaust ports, and that could completely explain the problem, without any compromise of your system. Now, you said you "Sprayed CRC into cylinders". CRC is made in a number of flavors. Is this the one that dries everything? If so, I recommend that you use another flavor, that leaves a lubricant behind.
2 stroke motors get their lube along with the fuel. So, you did the right thing to remove the sparkers, and crank out the water. Then, add a bit of motor oil (or lubricating spray) to displace the water, and crank that over, and clean thing out a bit. Then, replace the plugs, and get her running asap. And, maybe be prepared to replace the spark plugs soon. They can foul during events like this one. So, if she does not start, have a set of fresh plugs handy.
I think you are probably in good shape on this one, even though it scared you. Getting water into a cold motor, then getting it out, and running fairly soon, is not too big of a deal. Getting water into a HOT motor is harder on everything.

I think you will get this one back just fine. But, I would not let her sit for a week, before taking action.

Thank you Water in Cylinder

Thanks for your help! After all the winding over the battery is flat! Will re-charge and start from scratch! Thanks again!

Keep going!....

Keep trying to start it. Take the plugs out and roll it over. You can pour a bit of mixed oil and gas in the cylinder, roll it over again. Put the plugs in and try some more.

With the plugs out, it only blows pressure out of the top of the cylinders. You need to keep the plugs in to blow out the exhaust too.

Pour a cap full of alcohol into both spark plug holes. This will dry up water residual left in there also.

Check for spark. Your plugs could also be fouled.

Merry Christmas!....
