Good day every one.
I would like to know if anyone has any tricks to solve my issue or if when I take it to a local guy he isn’t going to rip me off

Just got the boat last week 1999 sportster 1800. Bought it off a boat engine guy who has a full engine shop and he put 2 new rotax 717 engines in and says he rebuilt the drive line and propeller and wear ring.
the market around here is insane so I bout without a water test
both engines fire right up and idle Perfect
my issues is the carbon wear ring there is a little stream coming out but seams to go away when running and then returns when the engines are off. Here is the odd part I go check the boat after sitting all night in the water and it has stopped leaking. This happened 2 nights in a row
I am also noticing my rpms are off starting at mid throttle on the engine that is leaking being lower

any input would be great as I’m trying to get up to par on running and maintaining this machine (previous car guy)
