I took my boat, a sportster 2005 215 HP, to the water last weekend and used for about 20 min, after that i left it sit on the water for 1 hr or so and after that i tried to re-started without success at the beginning it was beeping as usual but the starter will not even make any noise all the controls were running then the starter made bit of noise like when you a have a low/dead battery so i connected a portable jumper on the battery, by that time all the controls were already dead a not power on the stereo either, after the jumper was connected i tried again and it was floating dead on the lake. some minutes later the bpat was again beeping and making some short noise like "knocking" when i pushed on the start and soon after completely dead again, do you have an idea of what could cause this type of problems i am not by any means knowledgable on sea doo boats yet, i was thinking on the bateery at the beginning but after i connected the jumper and did not work i just do not know what could cause this probably the computer??? like in a car....

Sounds like you need a new battery!! I have never had any luck with those portable jumper systems...usually if your battery is low on charge and cranking amps then the only thing you can do is put it on a charger and let it sit for a few hours. Those engines have a ton of electronic sensors ect. so if you have a low battery allot of weird crap will happen!! Pull your battery out and have it properly tested!!

i hope i did not cause any damage during the weekend because i did tried a few times with the portable system and the boat electronics re-statarted a few times actually the blower also turned back on strong and after i tried to start the motor again is was dead again and nothing work after that. i will get my battery out and will tested hopefully that will fix the problem
