Im planning on buying a seadoo but can't decide what kind or how much to spend on one. im looking for one maybe somewhere around 1500 and then id be willing to put a bit more into making it faster/more reliable. I have no experience working on seadoos whatsoever, though i have a little working on cars (rx7=lots of problems :)). the major things i would like in one are,

-reliability (thats a huge one)
-speed (i don't need to kill myself but i want to go relatively fast)

im only 17 so i don't have an indispensable amount of money but i make 13-14 bucks an hour so 1500 is not too difficult for me. If you have any suggestions about seadoos that i could buy for around 1500, maybe put a bit more money into it if i had to, or if there are some for a bit more that will be nicer but less risky on its reliability then that would be great. i know you may say just research the information but its a big jump from cars and sportbikes which i know much more about. i appreciate the help, thanks.

oh and i don't care much about looks, i figure if its ugly i could just paint it all black and deal with it.

Ski?...

Kevin, welcome to the forum. In college?...wow, won't be long and I could be looking up to you as my new boss!..........

Your not going to find a lot of skis for that kind of money. Maybe if one is around, needs a a little tlc, but where you live is what mostly dictates how much one is going to sell for.

You'd like a model with the 787 engine. If's fast! and most reliable. Probably nothing less than the 717 enigine.....................

thanks. i live right by the puget sound in washington so there isn't a huge market for seadoos (very cold). ive been on craigslist multiple times and i seem to find quite a few in the 1500 to 3000 dollar range, some with trailers and some w/out. anyone have suggestions on any specific models? or even the years to look for?

oh and im a junior in highschool, almost senior :)
