You are over thinking it. 3 months in SoCal is nothing. (OK, been more than that now)

The gas you put into the engine... did it have oil mixed in with it?

At this point, it's irrelevant. Once the engine started, it should inject oil into the engine.

Are you taking out to the water??

Thanks Dr. Honda for always helping a guy out!

The gas I put in the spark plug holes was not premixed, oops, it was only a little bit, like I said about a quarter of a cup in each spark plug hole.

I did however, put a little bit more oil in the holes before this, and turned it over without the spark plugs in it for about 25 seconds... (I figured it would lubricate the internals in there)..

Is it ok to throw gas in there? Would it have been ok if I threw premixed gas in the holes?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to learn!

Don't be sorry for the Q's... that's what this BBS is for.

If, you are going to put fuel directly into the engine... it should be pre-mix to protect the engine. If you put oil into the engine, and cranked it around... that's fine. And, like I said... after it started... the oil injection would take over.

I don't exactly know what you are asking though. If you already gave it a shot of fuel, and got it started... then why do you need to put more fuel directly into the engine?? (or is that a "What should I have done" question?)

If you started the engine... and you aren't going to take it to the lake for a ride... then you need to "Winterize" it again. Fog the engine, and park it until you are ready to bring it out of hibernation.

I am thinking the fuel he put in burned off and now it wont run again. You have a fuel delivery problem.

I thought he had carb work done. Check all your hoses and make sure you are getting fuel into the carb.
