HELP!!! Intake keeps getting filled with weeds!

Hello everyone! I have a 2001 Sea Doo Challenger. My intake keeps getting filled with weeds! Is there anything that I can do to prevent this from happening?

based on your location its a weeds, I was up there on the weekend and my boat did the same. I just avoided them as much as possible not much else you can do as far as I know.

I was talking to a couple of people that have the same type of jet boat and they said to try chicken mesh. I don't see how that would help the problem since the weeds get sucked up flat against the intake crate! the boat runs amazing until I continue to get the weeds!

Downside of a jet boat. Although props don't care for them either!
