HELP! - 98 Speedster Oil Bleeding (Solved)

Hello,

I just pick up a 1998 Speedster Seadoo Red (787 Twin Engines). The big plastic oil tank had a small crack in it causing a leak. Took off the oil tank and filled in the crack (Leak tested) and everything seems fine. I reconnected the tank and the oil lines. I started the bleed process by unscrewing the oil bleed screw on the port side engine, with in seconds the screw hole for the bleed screw started leaking out oil. However the starboard side engine, I unscrewed the bleed screw and nothing...? no oil came out, 5 minutes later again nothing. whats up with that?

Anything I should try and do?? Is this ok?

Solved: Simply, make sure your on level ground and that the boat is level. Even if the one engine bleeds well, doesn't mean the other engine will!!!

It's possible the little washer is restricting the flow. Doubtful, but worth a look. You can remove the screw, but remember that there should be a washer with it.

1) The filters probably need changed.

2) Take the screen all the way out, there could be something sealing it.

Warning....

The bleed screws are very small, and will break if you put too much pressure on them. Use a new washer, and just make them snug.
