Surfing around on the net and you found me, thanks!
Live on a small lake in Nesquehoning, PA. "Lake Hauto"

nes -qwa- hoe -ning (narrow valley)

hot -o ( no idea?)

Just purchased a 07 GTI leftover, less then an hour on it so far, I have my fingers crossed.

I have three questions that any Seadoo virgin may ask

Is it OK to keep the cover on when the ski is sitting at the dock over night?

Should I take it easy for the first 10 hours (break in)?

What is the best route to take to purchase a floating dock?

Again thanks for having me and appreciate any help or suggestions.

Welcome to the seadoo forum Deerjeff. Sure it ok to leave the cover on the seadoo over night...it keeps the crickets off it...I wouldn't leave it in the water as it isn't recommended by seadoo to leave it in for any extended period of time. it isn't the same as a I/o or outboard boat.

For the first 10 hours yes take it easy. run it up to about 3/4 throttle and don't keep it at any specific rpm for any length of time. Vary the RPM's.
Remember to bring it to the dealer after 10 hours for it's check up.

I have seen some members doing the floating dock, search the forum for other info...

If you have any other questions give us a shout. This is a friendly place with lots of active members eager to help out.

Newbie....

You can leave the cover on....I think in PA, you don't have to worry to much about the humidity building under it like you would here on the Gulf Coast.

Yes, take it easy on that first 10 hours and make sure you vary the throttle a good bit. If you haven't read your manual on the break in procedures, it's a good idea to do so. Since your saying 10 hour break in, I'm assuming you got a new 4-TEC engine. You'll need to do all that is recommended for breakin if you want it to last. There are several members that have bought the new 4-TEC this year, so I'm sure they will chime in with some more advice.

Lastly, there are several types floating docks available. You can do a google search on "floating docks" and you'll get a lot of them on your first hit. The modular ones seem to be real popular.

Good luck and welcome to the world of Seadoo's.....

Much Thanks!!

Thanks for the info, it looks as if I will need to look into a dock now.
If the weather does not warm up soon, or if I can't get more time off work it maybe a long time until I hit 10 hours.

Google.....

Do a google search on a dock. You'll be surprised how many there are and how inexpensive some of them can be. They have one, that's like a piece of foam. Seems like you get a little momentum and shut the motor off and it slides right up on it.

But I'd not leave the hull exposed to the water for any duration because of underwater growth on your hull. Algae and the like. Here, I'd have it covered in barannacles in a month.
