Just got my HawkEye in the mail and want to know where everyone is mounting them? I was going to mount it outside the hull BUT I like the idea that it can be glued inside the hull so I wont have to drill holes in my boat but if the location is not right it wont give a good reading. This is going into a 04-Speedster 200. If anyone has pics of theirs mounted and wouldn't mind posting them that would be great.

Also, where and what wire are you tagging off of for the ignition "on" power wire and for that matter ground other than all the way to the battery.

Thanks

Many quality depth gauges have a means to "adjust" the readout.

Meaning, if you can't safely and easily mount it in the stern area at the lowest point, you can adjust the display to subtract the difference.

Take a look at your manual and seeing you have this option.

The biggest advantage to mounting it as far back as possible is so that there is never air between the hull and the water. Depth gauges normally have issues with air.

Does anyone have a picture of what wires they connected the power and ground to ?
