Has anyone had this happen? My flywheel is rusted and it drops rust on the bendix and it won't start. I have to remove starter and clean.

Has anyone had this happen? My flywheel is rusted and it drops rust on the bendix and it won't start. I have to remove starter and clean after every use.

That is rusty. Never had this happen and im no expert but if it were me id find away to get the loose rust off the flywheel either chemically or physically or both . . Or just altogether remove and do it thoroughly. At some point itl probably gum up the bendix clutch and or the splines to the point of damaging tit could stick out and also damage flywheel.
