Hard restart

2001 gs 717 single carb
rebuilt single stock carb, with correct pop off spec, set high speed all the way in, low speed one out, new fuel lines, good compression and rotary valve in spec, good carb pulse. I have to prime threw carb throat to get to fire up, and it will run fine, I shut down and it won't fire up on its own, pulled plugs and they are fuel wet, I do not pull choke or give throttle on restart.

Did you do the carb leak-down test after the carb rebuild?
No, is there any carb adjustment that I can try first, before pulling carb again, wanted to put in the water this weekend and see if it may improve after opening up a bit, but concerned about stalling and not getting to restart, unless pulling in fresh plugs and priming the carb throat, should of known better than buying SBt parts, couldn't find carburetor number on stock carb, do you know what it might be, just asking

Oh, one more things, I only have flame arrestor on, when restarting and not complete box, would that make a difference

If you bought carb parts from SBT then you know what you need to do.
It is flooding out so just running it more isn't going to fix anything.
Please follow the Carb Rebuild thread.

OSD Marine is highly highly recommended for there back to OEM carb rebuild kits, they are made from genuine Mikuni parts and include new needle and seat and there’s an option to get the lever and pin as well. You mean a leak down test for the carbs correct? I believe it’s 8 pounds of pressure, it may actually be 10, it’s explained in Mikidymac’s carb rebuild thread, but you Block the return fitting and apply the 10 pounds of pressure at the fuel inlet fitting. this will tell you if the diaphragm is holding the needle open at all.
