Harbor Freight! to funny!

I compare HF tools to having and actually riding a moped, they both do the job but you are either embarrassed when your friends see you using them or you are left with the feeling of wanting more... LOL

I will come out of the closet and admit that I have a few myself, some I have used only once and a couple I use all the time. The rubber coated cheap plastic ratchets are light comfortable to use, Really...

Andy,

I ache from the laughter, that was very well written.

Anyone who says they don't own a "cheap"(Harbor or not) tool is a liar. I have some of their stuff and use it quite frequently, shit I have a lot of their stuff, you have to be selective. One of my favs is the double flare brake line kit, yet it has lousy reviews. My dad's latest purchase was their Badlands 12K winch. We mounted it to our car trailer for scrapping, the old man was dragging cars that have been sitting at his farm for 20+ years. He drug them out of the dirt holes with the backhoe and winched them--dead weight the wheels don't roll, right onto the car trailer. Got it for $299 how can you beat that.

I love my harbor freight tools, though I get very nervous when I put 12K psi to something using that flimsy-ass press...

I use them too, but I won't buy any battery rechargeable stuff from them. My father inlaw brought a cordless drill and it only charged once. But their wrenches are great.

I have a few of their grinders, I put a different tool on either one, example: easier then switching from a wire wheel to a cut off. I would always accidently hit the hold button down and the whole thing would explode

There is a science to their tools like one of the replies on the blog.

Dont buy anything that has a rechargeable battery.

Do not buy drill bits or saw blades.

Do not get under a car if your life depends on the harbor freight products holding it up. Throw a chunk of wood under there just in case.

But seriously...

I use the HELL out of all my harbor freight tools with very little failures.

1 ratchet...have 5 more that work fine.

One sawzall...LOL that thing shot parts out of the side of it.

One air ratchet; it was their "professional" line. Really mad about that one...it was direct drive and would rip your arm off if you werent ready. Now they have a slipper in them and are worthless.

The BEST HF tools...

The ratchets that have the swivel head. SO friggin awesome. Get the tension screw just right so it doesnt move super easy.

The mini air ratchets. Coupled with the short round head allen sockets you can do anything on a seadoo.

Rainbow sockets. Yes kind of gay...but once you remember what color is what size, you save a TON of time when you have a bunch in the footwell of your ski.

Stainless steel mini wire brushes; fit your dremmel and are invaluable for carbs.

The vibro-saw/sander thing...best tool so far for wear rings.
